We came to Craven County because of a news article about the wonderful work and mission of Free Mom Hugs. Soon after, we were able to connect with Crystal Sanders French — who met with us at a local coffee shop in New Bern. Crystal, dressed as a Drag King with the name Christian Mingle, discussed the importance of inclusion, equity, and support — as well as the power of mom and dad hugs for those that really need them. Crystal is also a fourth generation New Bern local.
